Pre-Treatment Care
- Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 5–7 days if possible
- Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before your appointment
- Do not get treatment if pregnant or breastfeeding
- Inform your provider of all current medications and supplements
- Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup in the treatment area
- Avoid dental procedures within 2 weeks of treatment

- Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated area for 4 hours
- Stay upright for 4 hours — avoid lying flat

- Avoid heat exposure (saunas, hot yoga, steam rooms) for 24 hours
- Do not get facials or laser treatments for 2 weeks

How long does Botox last?
Most patients see results for 3 to 4 months. First-time patients sometimes metabolize Botox more quickly. Consistent treatment over time can lead to longer-lasting results as the muscles become conditioned.
Does Botox hurt?
Botox injections are performed with a very fine needle. Most patients describe a brief pinch. No numbing is typically required, though topical anesthetic is available on request.
