About SkinTyte

Firm. Tighten. Lift. Zero Downtime.

SkinTyte uses precisely filtered infrared light to safely heat deep dermal tissue while protecting the surface. This deep thermal energy triggers the body's natural wound-healing response — contracting existing collagen and stimulating new collagen production.

Unlike ablative lasers, SkinTyte requires zero downtime. Most patients return to normal activities immediately, reporting a warm, flushed sensation that resolves within hours.

SkinTyte works well on the face, neck, décolletage, arms, abdomen, and thighs. It can be combined with BBL or Moxi in the same session, or paired with the Lily Laser Extra Edit (biostimulators at $800/syringe).

Pre-Treatment Care

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 2 weeks before treatment
  • Discontinue retinoids (tretinoin, retinol) 5–7 days prior
  • Avoid chemical exfoliants (AHAs, BHAs) for 5–7 days prior
  • Arrive with a clean, product-free face — no makeup or SPF
  • Inform your provider of any medications, especially antibiotics or photosensitizers

Post-Treatment Care

  • Apply SPF 30+ daily — sun protection is critical for results and safety
  • Avoid heat — saunas, hot yoga, steam rooms — for 48–72 hours
  • Use gentle cleanser and moisturizer only for the first week
  • Do not pick or scratch treated skin as it heals
  • Resume retinoids and active skincare only after skin fully heals

Frequently Asked Questions

How is SkinTyte different from Ultherapy or Thermage?

SkinTyte uses infrared light, Thermage uses RF, and Ultherapy uses microfocused ultrasound. SkinTyte is comfortable enough without topical anesthetic, works well as a series, and integrates seamlessly with other Sciton treatments in the same session.

Does SkinTyte hurt?

SkinTyte is one of the more comfortable energy-based treatments. Most patients describe a warm, repetitive heating sensation — not painful. Topical numbing is not typically required.

When will I see results?

Results are progressive. Some patients notice immediate firmness from initial collagen contraction, but full results develop over 3–6 months. Results can last 1–2 years with proper maintenance.
